I’m Louise Littler
I am a Level 7 CMI Certified leadership Coach and Mentor with a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring.
I have been a veterinary surgeon for over 18 years and have 800+ hours of coaching and mentoring training with the University of Chester, plus extensive real-life veterinary leadership and mentoring experience managing an emergency and critical care clinic.
I live in the northwest of England on a dairy farm with my husband, children, and an assortment of pets.
I have seen many vets, young and old, crippled by low confidence and anxiety.
I have seen this anxiety persist for years, particularly in areas such as surgery, consulting, client interactions, and decision-making.
Unfortunately, I have witnessed careers that have ended due to a lack of confidence.
I'm on a mission to help provide veterinary team members with the tools and support they need to grow in confidence, thrive in practice, and enjoy long, happy, healthy careers.
I’m Jo Robinson-Howarth.
I’m an Advanced therapist and workplace wellness trainer with a degree in psychology and diplomas in advanced hypnotherapy and mindfulness. I am the daughter of a veterinary surgeon and I’ve been helping people to improve their mental health and outlook on life for many years now.
Today, I’m happy, but I haven’t always been.
I’ve experienced abusive relationships, crises, and bereavement, and struggled with high levels of stress and anxiety at work and in my personal life.
I lacked self-belief, and confidence and felt like a fraud. I couldn’t understand why anyone would like me because I simply didn’t like myself.
Everything changed when I was given help by people who trained me in tools and techniques to make my life better.
Today, I’m a mum, wife, author, and inspirational speaker. I’m a real person who feels real emotions, but I’ve learned how to take care of myself.
And now I have the training and expertise to help other people take care of themselves and thrive!
We use Acceptance and Commitment Coaching (ACC) a modified form of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help vets, nurses, and veterinary leaders to improve their confidence, their job satisfaction, and sense of self-worth.
If you would like to know more about the basis of our techniques and the scientific evidence for them please take a look at the link below.
Beyond our framework, we offer so much more. We offer support so you no longer have to feel alone, embarrassed, or ashamed.
We offer advice specific to applying ACT within a veterinary setting. We are uniquely placed to understand the processes, pressures, and expectations you encounter and give you techniques specific to your unique position.
Yes, we use a framework but this is not a one size fits all experience.
This was such a great course! and I love how it was tied into veterinary medicine directly.
The course was fantastic. The reason this works for me is that it explains WHY we feel the way we do!
I've loved doing the course slowly over many months as suited me at this stage of my life on maternity leave :)
I seriously thought it was just me. That my negative feelings around surgery made me a BAD surgeon. In reality I was doing fine. I just couldn't see it and was making things worse for myself.
The coaching has really changed the way I think and feel. Thanks!
This course fit my learning goals perfectly I've improved my surgical confidence around difficult surgeries
I'm really happy with what you provided and how it has helped me.
"I'm loving the course and love taking it at a pace that suits my current lifestyle which is fab.
Thanks so much and well done on the course, you and Jo are fab :)
Before I worked with Louise I dreaded my surgery days. Now I still feel those butterflies but I see them for what they are. A signal it's time to go to work! I'm getting more comfortable every day. Thank you!
For me, Louise is the calm in the storm. She has an indefatigable ability to give me perspective, to help me order my spinning brain and to reassure me that I’m not alone and that actually there is a way to re-educate yourself to improve your confidence"
Would you recommend this course to a friend?
Absolutely, my non-vet husband should do it!
My surgical anxiety isn't cured but it gets better each day. I no longer ruminate on potential outcomes and can discharge patients without the 'what if' feelings that used to plague my evenings.
Thank you for the course. The techniques have helped with many things in life not just surgical confidence. I feel like I've got tools and know how to process difficult emotions rather than shy away from them and ideas of ways to help myself move forward and be a less stressed, more confident person.
